World championship team finalised

Selections for the Australian road cycling team have been finalised ahead of the 2013 UCI Road Cycling World Championships in Italy.

Four NSWIS athletes have been included in the final team, including Olympian Amanda Spratt who is joined by fellow NSWIS athlete Lauren Kitchen in the women’s elite road team.

Rising stars Caleb Ewan and Sam Spokes have also been selected, with the duo scheduled to take part in the men’s under-23 road race.

The championships take place from September 22-29 in Florence, Italy.
