Stingers squad announced for Rio

No less than nine NSWIS athletes have been included in the Australian women’s water polo squad aiming for 2016 Olympic Games selection.

The selections are highlighted by two time Olympic bronze medallist Bronwen Knox and 2012 Olympic bronze medallists Holly Lincoln-Smith and Nicola Zagame. Joining the Olympic trio are aspiring Olympians Lea Yanitsas, Jayde Appel, Hannah Buckling, Keesja Gofers and Bronte Halligan.

The squad will take part in a three test series against China in late January following a training camp in Perth before the final squad of 13 is announced in June.
