Rising stars set for Argentina tour

Eight NSWIS hockey players have been selected in the Australian junior women’s squad for a tour of Argentina during October.

The selections are highlighted by Hockeyroo Mariah Williams, who is joined by fellow NSWIS athletes Mathilda Carmichael, Andrea Gillard, Kate Hanna, Greta Hayes, Rene Hunter, Kaitlin Nobbs and Grace Stewart.

The aim of the tour is to provide the junior women’s team with exposure to elite international competition in a touring environment to assist in the transition from the junior to senior ranks.

The junior women’s team, the Jillaroos, will play matches in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 14-28 October.
