NSWIS athlete Toby Kane has made a strong start to 2013 with a bronze medal finish at Sestriere, Italy leg of the IPC Alpine Skiing World Cup.

Competing in the men’s standing giant slalom, Kane finished a mere three seconds behind the eventual winner, compatriot Mitchell Gourlay.

Fellow NSWIS athlete Melissa Perrine finished fourth in the women’s vision impaired giant slalom to kick start her year.
