The Australian men’s under-19 basketball team, the Emus, have made light work of Poland at the 2011 FIBA U19 World Championships to set up a clash with Serbia.

NSWIS graduate Jackson Aldridge scored a team high 21 points in the 72-52 victory, as Emus and NSWIS coach Damian Cotter made some key tactical moves to ensure Australia wasn’t outplayed by the crafty Europeans.

A huge third quarter saw Australia score 24 points and only allow Poland to score nine points, setting up the next match with Serbia which takes place tomorrow night.
