New South Wales men’s and women’s teams both took gold in the Indoor Australian Championships Open at Illawarra Hockey Centre in Wollongong on Sunday.

The men’s team triumphed 5-2 over ACT in a repeat of the 2016 final, and the women were comprehensive 5-0 winners over WA in their final.

NSWIS athletes were instrumental to this success with four athletes in the men’s side. This included Flynn Ogilvie – the top scorer and player of the tournament, Blake Govers – the player of the final, Jack Hayes and Kieran Govers.

NSWIS was represented in the triumphant women’s team by Tamsin Bunt.
